Social media manger

Help manage and grow Photon Nodes’ social media presence by creating posts, promoting our hosting services, engaging with potential customers, and keeping our brand active online. This is a remote volunteer opportunity.

Photon Nodes is looking for a creative and dependable Social Media Manager to help build our online presence. You’ll help plan and publish content about our hosting services, promotions, updates, and company news. This role is a good opportunity for someone interested in social media, marketing, technology, web hosting, or building experience with an online business. You’ll work directly with Photon Nodes leadership and coordinate with the Sales and Support teams when needed.

Create and publish social media posts for Photon Nodes. Promote web hosting, Discord hosting, and other Photon Nodes services. Create posts for promotions, announcements, updates, and new features. Help develop ideas for attracting new customers. Maintain a consistent Photon Nodes brand and professional tone. Respond to basic comments and social media messages when authorized. Direct sales questions to the appropriate Sales or Account Management team member. Direct support questions to the Customer Support team instead of attempting technical fixes. Help create simple graphics, promotional images, and content ideas. Monitor engagement and identify which types of posts perform best. Help keep Photon Nodes social accounts active and up to date. Follow all Photon Nodes privacy, security, and customer communication rules.

Comfortable using social media platforms. Good written communication and spelling. Creative and able to come up with content ideas. Able to communicate professionally with customers and the public. Dependable and able to complete assigned tasks. Basic understanding of Photon Nodes services or willingness to learn. Must follow company branding and posting guidelines. Must not publish pricing, promotions, company announcements, or major changes without approval when approval is required. Must protect customer and company information. No VPS, SSH, server, or customer-file access is provided for this position. Must be able to work remotely and communicate with the Photon Nodes team. Previous social media experience is helpful but not required.

Photon Nodes provides website and Discord bot hosting with a focus on reliable service and support. This opportunity is remote and volunteer-based.
